Welcome to Tulane University ! I still recall the first time I heard those very words more than ten years ago. Since then, I have come to feel that Tulane and New Orleans are my home.

Our staff has created a Welcome Week program that will help you make the most of your Tulane experience by introducing you to your new home and some of the opportunities that await you. You'll learn more about New Orleans , a one-of-a-kind city of which we are so proud to be a part.

Tulane offers a community of some of the finest students and faculty in the nation who are discovering, learning and achieving together. As a Tulane student you will be challenged and encouraged to attain new levels of academic excellence and personal growth. Along the way, you will form friendships that will last a lifetime.

A faculty second to none, new comprehensive facilities, a commitment to educating the "whole student" and a longstanding tradition of learning-all are qualities that define Tulane today. The faculty and staff are here to help you gain knowledge and make choices that will enable you to become the type of person you want to be, the kind of person our society needs. This, to me, is what higher education is all about.
